Zusammenfassung:eng: The archbishop of Salzburg, Markus Sittikus, launched a visitation of Carinthia and Eastern Tyrol. The inspectors tried to create a church- building, that shows the eucharistic concentration of piety by cleansing the church from profane objects and by a new arranging and remodeling of ecclesiastical fitments. Examining the pastoral care they stressed the observance of traditional and donated obligations of divine services. Another emphasis was put on scrutinizing the clergy. By a celebatarian lifestyle, by different costumes and a special behavior the priest was separated form the social connections with his parishioners. By legalization of pastoral care and by exteriorization of piety the priest should become a good shepherd. The instructions were not orientated to transfer the Council of Trent and the Synods of Salzburg only, but also other reform-conscious people were quoted. A large number of reformative efforts the inspectors just found realized, because the post-Tridentinian reform had already transformed considering and acting of some clergymen. The inspectors could put their emphasis on rather marginal points.
