Description
Summary:eng: In 1938 the Austrian Roman Catholic Church entered into negotiations with the National Socialist Regime on behalf of the unimpeded exercise of spiritual welfare. Due to the confiscation of church property and various other infringements, the Roman Catholic Church felt compelled to put an end to these negotiations. From then on the National Socialist Regime kept a constant check on the Roman Catholic spiritual welfare. This thesis sheds light on the impact of this supervision on the life and spiritual welfare of the Roman Catholic Church (1938-1945) by focusing on the Tyrolean section of the Archbishopric of Salzburg.
